Planning consent granted for mixed office/retail redevelopment scheme, W1

Christian Garnett Partners LLP have obtained Planning Permission for a new build mixed offices and residential scheme at 3-7 Portman Mews South, located within the Portman Conservation Area, near Oxford Street.

The development, for The Portman Estate, will comprise of some 2,100sqM. gross external area, located within a block bounded by Portman Street to the West and Granville Place to the South and East. The building is to be formed of five storeys, with four floors of offices above restaurant and retail use on the ground and basement.

The scheme received the full backing of WCC planning sub-committee members, who commented on the sensitivity of the design within its Conservation Area setting. Summing up for the panel, Chairman Robert Davis told officers: 'I think the way it's been designed is very attractive. I am happy to support your recommendation'.
